Well us Austrailians living 18hours in the future often get mixed up as to the actual date in SL, would be good if it was up there to see :)

File attached is a patch made to display the date and day of SL beside the time on the status bar in the format like Monday, 1 January 2007.

Patch is made so that users can easily view the actual dates in second life.

Tharax Ferraris - 12/Jun/07 07:01 PM
Final change to the date patch.

Thanks Ferraris. Made it a tooltip to reduce clutter and xui controlled for internationalization.

Hmm yes I just found it guys, haven't been watching this, it works but I have not noticed it there since it was added, so don't think many people know it exists, I've certainly heard others asking for it inworld I doubt the date will be cluttery, good move to add the month in text so people don't get confused by the confusing month first convention that seems th be becoming commonly annoying over the last few years.

Why is this still open? It's been added ages ago ...

WarKirby Magojiro - 29/Nov/07 11:17 AM
Indeed it was. Closing as fixed. Final resolution.

Tegg Bode - 26/Dec/07 11:07 PM
Sorry I reopened it because although it works, 99% of SL don't know it's there and probably never will, it took me months to find it was there and that's only because I came back to check my JIRA,. it would be nice to have it visable at all times next to the date, there's no clutter up there to worry about that I can see.

Zen Linden - 22/Jan/08 12:51 PM
@Tegg: I think it adds too much clutter. Our viewer has a tendency to hit users over the head with too much information. I'm in favor of moving towards a more uncluttered interface wherever we can. Though there is space there, aesthetically, I'm not in favor of it.

Tegg Bode - 24/Jan/08 01:04 AM
Fair enough, I'll close this then :)
