1.19.1.4 Release Incompatable with Latest ATI RADEON 9800 Video Drivers On starting the new 1.19.1.4 client I experienced repeated lockups in Second Life, using my December 2007 ATI video card drivers. Therefore I downloaded and installed latest (March 5, 2008 Version 8.3) ATI video card drivers from this page: http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=xp/radeonx-xp With the new video card drivers I experience the following problems: a) On starting the client I get a login screen and am able to login and operate for a few minutes then lockup. By "lockup" I mean Second Life stops responding and I cannot get out nor get to my Desktop. I have to cold-reboot the computer. This is with graphics settings set to the lowest possible standards (see below). b) On starting the client I get the message "your video card drivers are unsupported or out of date" GRAPHICS SETTINGS Graphics settings were set to these lowest possible standards: Draw - 64 Detail - LOW (all) Lighting - Sun and moon Terrain - Low Shaders - OFF (all) Filtering - OFF VBO - OFF
