Target Omega is no longer working for me; you can change the rotation speed parameters, but the script never seems to acknowledge the change; I am using the default "rotation script" from the library...

Can you supply a sample script?

Does updating other prim properties (like llSetText) cause it to work?

I also have noticed llTargetOmega not working in a set of linked sculpted prims. They worked fine before the upgrade to Second Life 1.19.1 (4). Resetting the script sometimes fixes it, but not for long... when I update the sculpt maps via LSL the prims stop rotating. Updating llSetText does not help. Linked sculptie prims are not rotating.

If I zoom out from the sculpted prim, it changes position as the LOD changes, as if it had rotated. Even further zooming out, and it "rotates" again. It also does this as I'm zooming in on each change of LOD.

default
{
state_entry()

{ llTargetOmega(<0, 0, 1>, 0.3, 0.3); }

}

If I create a new single prim item & put that script in, it rotates just fine. Regular prim or sculptie, makes no difference.

Have items on 3 sims which should rotate using lltargetomega (standard library script with minor change to reduce rotation speed). non of them are functioning and additionally even though built by me I cannot access the scripts to try reseting. Returning to inventory and re-placing the item doesn't work for me either.

Putting new script into new single prim. I get a twitch and then nothing.

Why is this bug marked as "resolved"? It's NOT! It has been almost 2 months since this bug began, and rotations still aren't working.

PLEASE RE-ASSIGN THIS BUG BUG REPORT AND FIX IT!!

Well if this is fixed why do I get no rotation of any llTargetOmega scripted items in my release candidate viewers (both RC5 and RC6) which I normally use, but will work in the Current standard viewer release.

Have created single prim with script included (standard Library), also second single prim with script including llSetText as mentioned elsewhere, and I still have the same problem of no rotation in viewers RC5 or RC6. On creation a get a single twitch of the cube. then nothing. (by twitch I mean moves about 1 or 2 degrees then stops)

Current home sim Of Iaconelli is latest sim code 1.21.1.86182. But I also have this same problem on other sims across SL, all supposedly running latest sim code. Very rare these days for me to find a rotating dance ball, sploder etc.

This non-rotation also applies to all purchased rotating items, both currently in my inventory and rezzed anywhere in the grid or set out in my house, as well as my own creations, so it discounts ther being an error in the script I am using.

this system info works:

Second Life 1.19.1 (4) Apr 2 2008 11:59:37 (Second Life Release)

Also of interest is I have now installed the latest windlight / Linux viewer (Second Life 1.20.6 (86925) May 6 2008 19:36:48 (Second Life Release Candidate)), and everything is working again fine. Is this something specific to NVidia 8500 graphics in windows environment ????

OK Success at last.

Complete wipe of SL release Candidate from system, including wipe of application data files, and fresh install cured the problem. however replacing the user settings file in the application data folder resulted in the same problems reappearing. On deletion of this file and restart of SL everything working fine again.

Have retained old user settings file if authorised Lindens require a copy. please email or send IM in world if required.
