Affected Versions says Dazzle and the summary and description say Windlight, so does this effect Dazzle or Windlight?

Surfwidow Beaumont, thanks for reporting this. However, we are not able to reproduce this bug in either the "WindLight version" (which now appears as 1.19.1 Release Candidate) nor in the Dazzle First Look viewer.
In both these versions, from a clean installation, I find that Ctrl+Alt+F1 does indeed hide all the UI elements. If this is not the case for you, please do reopen this bug, however please fill out the "Environment" field with a copy & paste of all the information provided in the top section when you select Help > About Second Life. It would also be useful to know if you are running full screen or windowed, or if this happens in any particular instances (is there a certain combination of actions you have done prior, etc). Thanks again.

I use Windows Vista - have also have 2 XP PCs
and in the current released version (non windlight) i can hide show the UI fine in the Windlight version 2 releases before this i had no problems at all then in the last 2 versions suddenly no hide show UI - and yeup its the same in the new Dazzle too 1.19.XX version of the release candidate (freshly installed today) the CTRL+ALT+F1 no longer works (in vista) nor does the old CTRL+ALT+1 - incase you changed it - the hide show UI is such an important feature it should be in button form really and yes the problem applies with dazzle too - no atmospherics in that in anycase yet - dazzle is a very dull viewer indeed a step backwards i would like to shoot vids in windlight but its too hard to do atm unless this bug is fixed or i use a version where i cannot hide the UI and have to crop out all the UI in the edit - very irritating it must be a bug if the current (released non windlight version - that reloads your entire inventory ever bloomimg time you start it) works fine PS i run windowed - and do no series of events to cause this as like i said in the non windlight version it works perfectly fine - it can only be a viewer issue NOTE - the UI will Hide in FULL SCREEN but this is impractical for filming at 640 x480 as its well - full screen This is very resource hungry and overkill - shooting in a 640 x 480 window speeds everything up including framerates the flexibility of running in a window without hide show UI is now lost - please can you put HIDE SHOW UI back for for those who now use (and depend on) the Windowed version - thanks NB

This works in RC 1.19.1 (2) for me as well - both in window and full screen.

Is it just tht the shortcut keys do not work? in other words, does Client (Advanced)

This doesn't work for me under XP SP2, full screen or windowed, in either 1.19.1.4 or 1.20RC10. It's the shortcut that's the problem, as turning the UI off manually works fine. I suspect there's some conflict going on with my comp and another program installed, although no idea what that might be. It sounds like this is just a poor shortcut, as it doesn't even work correctly under Linux. See VWR-2085 for more info on that.

This issue was resolved as "Needs More Info" during a batch clean-up of PJIRA issues.
Reason: for an extended length of time, this bug seems to be missing enough details (reproducible steps) for Linden Lab to import the bug and investigate. Also the last affected version of the viewer on this report is viewer 1.21 or 1.20, 1.19, or even earlier, which are versions that are no longer actively supported. It is possible that this bug is indeed valid and should remain open-- however, Linden Lab needs the following pieces of information before it is Reopened: To reopen, please do all of the following: (1) It is very important to confirm that this bug still occurs in the latest official version 1.23. Please upgrade to that version by browsing to http://get.secondlife.com (2) If so, then please Reopen this issue and BE SURE to choose the "Affects Version/s" = 1.23 (3) Also, re-describe the steps that another person can follow to experience this bug. An example of a good "recipe" for a bug report can be found here: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Issue_tracker#Guidelines_for_a_bug_report (4) Come and attend the inworld bug triages, where you can meet with Linden Lab employees to consider, verify, and expedite bugs for fixing. For more information, see http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage Thank you for helping us improve Second Life!
