Several points, Alissa:
first, this isn't resolved simply because it duplicates another issue. second, I said all versions. There are 5 currently available. All with broken text.you need only note the creation date of the issue. Third, you don't appear to be a Linden. By what authority do you call anything "resolved"? I still have broken text in all 5 versions of the viewer. How is this resolved? I agree with Max. The point being, is that in any version of the client, there is still the ever present problem of the text. I have the same exact problem and with those problems, I get numerous crashes and am never able to play. I also believe it has something to do with the latest version of the ATI drivers. I also have tested this theory in Linux, and I get the same graphical text errors. The ONLY solution I seem to have, is to revert to driver version 7.11 Catalyst.
Computer Specs: Thanks, Felanis.
I had to do some digging, but finally found an older driver version at FileHippo. While this is not a solution, I consider this to be an acceptable workaround until the issue does get fixed. |

VWR-4572.Another comment to Max is that, even in case you believe the issue is common to all versions of viewers, specifying viewer versions on which you experienced the issue explictly will help developers to pin down the cause, e.g., "experienced on 1.19.0(5) and other versions" or "all released viewers after Aug. 2006".
