This is a list of smaller "feature losses" which came with the two most recent windlight user interface updates:

1. ESC key does not defocus the chat window anymore.
This is tedious since there is no deterministic, keyboard only way to change from chat to mouslook quickly and without using the mouse.
OLD behavior: No matter in which state you are with your chat and IM conversations, ESC-ESC-M got you to mouselook.
CURRENT (BAD) behavior: If you chat in communications window, you need to click into the world with the mouse to defocus that one, then hit escape sometimes if the chat input line in the bottom of the viewer is still open and then you can finally press the "m" key to enter mouselook.

2. Shouting in mouselook is not working anymore.
OLD behavior: (In mouselook and you want to drop a shouted post):

  • Type your message and then TAB TAB ENTER
    CURRENT (BAD) behavior:
  • type your message
  • Leave mouselook
  • Use the mouse to select the small Say/Shout list box and there "shout"

3. The Release Keys button is too close to frequently used buttons in the lower line of buttons and often hit accidently.

Two are duplicates and one has an easy work around.

1) Duplicates VWR-4526.

2) Just hit Ctrl-Enter.

3) Duplicates VWR-4541.

These are 3 separate issues, so shouldn't have been filed as one, so closing as misfiled.
