When the archive of group notices is opened or refreshed in the 1.19 RC releases (up to RC2, and in First Look), the viewer slows down to a crawl, or even freezes. While this may seem unproblematic to some groups, for groups with a lot of traffic where archives are extensively used, this is a real problem and affects general users.

To reproduce:
Join the group Fashion Consolidated
Click Notices tab
Watch the viewer stutter and freeze until notice listing is finished
Click Refresh, or a column to re-order data to refresh.

My group has 5500 members very many of whom use the Notice Archive to review and catch up notices. Big issue if this remains in the released viewer. Please address it! Thanks.

I concur - this bug happened to me when filing notices for a new product, I will also add, I had trouble in some sims even loading the attachments, like notecards, from the notice and from the archive. Even when they went into my inventory, they would still say "loading" and never load, till I moved to another sim.

I have witnessed this glitch on multiple occasions when checking back on notices in this group, as well as others. On one occurance, I actually had to restart because the stuttering would not stop as the notices were loading. Would really be worthwhile to get this bug fixed as I know it would eliminate a lot of headache for a lot of us that use group notices!

Fashion Consolidated provides an important service Second Life. I consider this JIRA high priority, right below JIRAs concerning thefts, due to the fact that so many users find this service very helpful in improve their second lives. Please do try to fix it before th next release! (whatever it may be).

I'm concerned to see that 1.19 has now been released with this bug unfixed - it appears in the 1.19 RCs, so it's a step backwards to actually ship a viewing as stable with this new bug.

Comment please Lindens? Projected time to fix?

This is dreadful. I already don't receive many group notices, particularly from large groups like Fash Con. And when this viewer becomes standard, I'm going to lock up while manually retrieving the notices I didn't receive? I don't want to imagine what life will be like when I'm locking up while retrieving around 20 unreceived notices. That's the number I had to pull this morning for yesterday's Fash Con notices.

I voted on this before, but just realized I didn't comment. I agree with Karenza... this is a big deal. Groups are supposed to make it easy to communicate... being able to use the Notice archive is a key aspect of that. (along with many other group issues that need fixing... see other JIRAs...)

This bug still just as severe in the 1.19.1 RC0.
To see how bad it can get - go to sim Amicitia during a peak time, go into the Notice Archive for group Fashion Consolidated, and hit Refresh. I just had my whole viewer hang completely for about 4 mins.

I notice the viewer gets very slow – it doesn't totally freeze for me but it becomes extremely sluggish. We imported this during a recent bug triage to look at further.
