Did you try a fresh re-install?
Hi. Yes, re-installing didn't help. Though, after testing it for a bit more....it seems some sims working fine when I teleport to them...and others it crashes as described above. Strange. Again, early versions never did this..
Hi,
I've been having internet problems with all sites and SL is the first site to actually give me an error message "the viewer has detected mangled network data.... " So I'm not sure how to fix it either but I have checked my video card and drivers, uninstalled McAfee/installed another security system, uninstalled several programs on my computer ect., more I don't remember off the top of my head. I am not using the windlight candidate that I know of. If someone knows of a fix for this please let me know. I can not play SL, WoW or other internet games, not even solitare on the internet. Thank you, Gen Hi Again. Just wanted to the "people in charge" that this problem does NOT happen in the new RC 1.19 Build. It is only happening in the Windlight release. It also doesn't happen in the main release...so, it's pretty much a windlight issue. Are their previous releases to download? Since the one before this wasn't doing this mangled network data bug...thanks!
Hi,
I have this same issue here, however it happens without windelight. Another thing I noticed, I'm also using McAfee, and it only happens on my home network if I use somebodies wireless network it runs fine!! I'd like some way to get around this, too, reinstalling didn't help me either. Thanks This was fixed in the latest release cand. When they moved Windlight into it.

Marsoups, sometimes this can be hardware related you might want to try a few things:
*Check for damaged network cables (if it's cat5 or similar even a strong kink in the line can give you problems like this). If it's a cable connection look to see if someone painted over the cable socket; some paint stripper to remove the paint before replacing your cable might solve the problem. If you suspect a cable issue you can usually take it to your local computer shop to have it tested, if it's bad they'll have an inexpensive replacement most of the time. *Could be something silly like an improper network setup... Have you checked to see if there are duplicate IP's on your network? Is there some obscure setting on your router causing it to reshape the packets? *McAfee does NOT find all possible viruses, you may want to scan using a couple alternative scanners from time to time. You can disable the real-time scanning options so they don't conflict with McAfee. Also use anti-malware scanners like Ad-Aware, SuperAntiSpyware or Windows Defender. *Maybe it's as simple as replacing your network card? Might want to try this first because you stated "it only happens on my home network if I use somebodies wireless network it runs fine!! ". That leads me to believe your wired network card is faulty.

Thanks Sean,
My problem was indeed network traffic - for some reason in my previous configuration we used a windows xp machine as our router, now that we are not doing this and going straight through the router, the problem no longer exists! Thanks for gettin' back to me Cheers
