Property lines also show through avatar.
Only happened since the last RC - was fine under windlight before that.
Confirmed, latest Windlight only. Also, ban lines aren't shown at all!
Still present in the newest WindLight RC (80044).

Hopefully they will fix this by fixing the water shaders, and maybe even go back to Runitai's earlier shaders and so fix VWR-5143 as well. As of new release candidate viewer, this bug still exists. I see property lines right through my body and all the prims around me.
This issue was resolved as "Needs More Info" during our batch cleanup because it was set as affecting First Look: WindLight. On the Issue Tracker, we've noticed many duplicate issues and issues that lacked actionable info or were already fixed.
WindLight recently "graduated" from a "First Look" technology preview to Release Candidate status – nearing inclusion in the main viewer with your help! So, "First Look: WindLight" does not exist anymore. ^the thin lines are not much of a problem but what you can see here can turn into a big annoyance especially when the shaded areas are even bigger than the ones you see here.
Mostly seen at sim borders when the adjacent sim is not shown due to draw distance settings. Confirmed that this is still apparent in the official release version 1.19.4
Attached is an example of what Squirrel pointed out taken in 40+-terrform Tan mainland region. Repro Steps: Logon to SL 1.20 will still have this.

This issue is still STILL happening for me, and now no matter what I do, when I log in the "view property lines" is enabled making me have to turn it off every time I crash or log back in. Its really annoying I've tried turning them off and relogging, I've tried clearing my cache relogging. The lines are always ON at log in for me. CPU: Intel Core 2 Series Processor (2333 MHz) In the latest RC we have the worst of both worlds... property lines show through objects, AND property lines are hidden by Windlight water! Oh, sure, they are sort of visible, but you have to hide water in Advanced->Rendering->Types to really see them reliably.
PLEASE undo the change to make property lines show through the Windlight water, and approach the problem that led to this multi-stage rendering from a different perspective. This is not solving the problem, and it's creating a new one. In RC6 property lines have been somewhat fixed, but they now show in front of (not through) partially-alpha objects like non-linden plants and walls with alpha windows.
This should be fixed in the 1.20 Release (currently in RC6 status at the time of this comment.)
Argent- thanks for the pointer about partial-alpha objects. Apparently this is a known design-flaw in the strategy of our fix. Sadly, it would take a more complicated "pretzeling" of the render pipeline to address the alpha object condition. Can I request that you open a new bug to track that case, since the stated summary of this issue is essentially addressed? I'm very happy to have property lines tamed again too. I don't understand. The original problem was caused by an incomplete fix to allow property lines to show through Windlight water. That fix did not address any other special rendering layers (such as wireframe) being blocked by Windlight water. RC6 reverts virtually everything created by that original flawed fix for VWR-3172.
Since VWR-3172 is no longer fixed, why not simplify the render pipeline and revert to the original behavior? See VWR-7131 I'm running viewer 1.20.12 on an Intel quad core with nVidia 8800 GT and I've had a friend duplicate this bug. I normally run with property lines turned on but when I enter build mode, the property lines become visible through my walls, avatar, you name it. As I said, I had a friend duplicate this bug employing the same method - turn on property lines while in a building. Bring up build mode and they become visible through everything.

Lines only showed in screenshot when "Show interface in snapshot" was selected. "Show HUD objects in snapshot" did not show the property lines. Now we can't see property lines through objects, this makes it very difficult to see the property lines when you need to.
If you dont want to see property lines, turn them off. This isn't really a bug, its a personal preference. I'm going to start a new issue requesting property lines visible through objects and an option to make them extend all the way up into space so us designers working up in the air can see where we are. See VWR-8463 "Property Line visibility needs more options". This is for designers who need to see them through objects and extended up into space, for ease of space planning.
Make property lines have at least these 2 options that are easily to toggle on/off quickly. This is important for many reasons, for example if you aren't aware of exactly where a property line is when you're 500m up in the air you wont know that your tenant space has a property line through part of it that prevents tenants from properly using their space (i.e. adjoining parcel has build permissions restricted, etc.) Changed to low. If property lines bother your visual experience, turn them off!
Changing the priority of a resolved issue seems weird, but I would like to reiterate for JetZep's edification the point made over and over again here... that it is not practical to turn property lines off. Even setting aside all the other potential issues, it's critically important to see sim boundaries given the continuing sim crossing problems.
This issue has reappeared in 1.21.0RC but only when the build window is open. When the build window is not open the lines appear normal but when it is open property lines as far as a sim away will show right through a prim/avatar next to me
I actually find the lines showing through prims when in build mode handy, they give a good guide of how far the parcel border is away, especially when you are building in a confined space. Not seeing them means you could be building over someone elses parcel. That's just me though.
Confirmed, they show through prims when in edit mode in 1.20 and 1.21.0 Nightly (95368). They do not show when the edit window is closed. Is this by design? Thanks for reporting/reopening this. I have tracked it internally by a new Linden Lab ID. We'll investigate why this happens in 1.21, only when in build mode.
I was under the impression that having these kinds of informational layers show through in build mode was deliberate, based on previous discussion here, in world, and on mailing lists.
I am re-setting the Resolution to Fixed... as we completed the fix in viewer 1.20.
leliel Mirihi had reopened this issue when noticing that property lines can be seen through the avatar in Edit mode. By turning off Tools > Show Hidden Selection, this will correct the property lines through the avatar. Reopening this issue as it affects 1.23 RC

Confirming this occuring with newest WindLight client as well - as well as occuring on the Intel platform. I find it quite noticable even at the noon setting, in truth.
