Interesting. The greyed share box is reminiscent of VWR-48. Question: is having a group-deeded object be unshared even intended to be possible?

" Question: is having a group-deeded object be unshared even intended to be possible?"

Yes. The default is to "unshare" the object upon deed in fact. You must re-enable sharing to open it up again. "Sharing" bypasses role limitations for deeded objects, which makes this bug particularly nasty if they see the greyed out shared box and assume their objects are safe in an open-enrollment group!

Even though it is greyed it can still be unchecked.
