I attached a picture to show what i mean by not hiding correctly.
I believe it's a Windlight issue, because people using normal clients have told me that they don't see anything when it's hiding, but a friend using windlight said she could see the swords.
The closer i get with the camera the more hidden they appear, if i move the camera further i could see the full swords

Just a guess, but this might be a packet loss to your client, other people which hadn't the packet lost see it correct while your client doesnt know that it is transparent now,... When you edit the linked prim then and check the alpha value then the link should get invisible since it should request information on that prim from the serv.
