 Description  « Hide
The regular and beta havok viewers save my preferences. However, WindLight does not. I have uninstalled everything SL-related and reinstalled WindLight, but nothing works. The previous two versions of WindLight are the same way. The version that was out before that and all previous versions had no trouble saving my prefs.

Seems to save them okay on my Vista machine.

Setting this to Critical since it is still an issue with the latest update and there is apparently no attention on the issue.

Seems to be reverting the settings_windlight.xml at launch.

Test:
1. Launch Windlight
2. Change settings
3. Close Windlight
4. Check settings_windlight.xml (or copy to compare)
4a. File system's Modified DT Stamp shows that Windlight does a final write as its terminated, settings are saved.
5. Launch Windlight
6. Check settings_windlight.xml (or copy to compare)
6a. File system's Modified DT Stamp shows that Windlight does write as its launched, settings are reverted.
7. Close Windlight
8. Check settings_windlight.xml (or copy to compare)

Removing the offending line (shown in the dup'd issue) will allow WL to start again with all the setting apart from one dialogue still there.

March4, 2008, same issue. How hard can it be to fix this...old, old problem?

I resolved this for myself by uninstalling all clients, then reinstalling each one. Note try using a different folder for installs as the target directory. Far as I known this issue has been long resolved was a problem when WL went into RC and I had the same problem but doing as I said fixed that for me. Also try just completely wiping out the settings_windlight.xml file completely (allthough not the best choice as you have to reset everything) but it both ways resolved it.

Is this still a problem using the latest Release Candidate?
