Textures with alpha channel seem to be affected by LOD so that when zoomed away from, they either turn 100% solid or completely invisible. If the texture has a gradient in its alpha channel, it will start out 100% solid and then clip to invisible, as shown in the screenshots. Only a few meters of zooming out causes this effect.

This appears to duplicate VWR-3101 (which Torley bounced back to Windlight development already with a DEV- issue number). If so, it probably ought to be closed out as a duplicate.
