Unable to use Windlight, RC or any version of main viewer after 1.18.3 because of this database issue.

In the Communications window - Friends list, but groups only say None. Searching will eventually list the Groups, but this falls away after about 1 hour and cannot be re-forced. The group previously Activated remains active, but none of the permissions apply.

Problem happens the same for all avatars, is not region-related, and clearing all caches does not fix it. Logging back into the new version or RC after accessing Groups listing in older viewer does not make Groups list.

Teleporting is also not possible with grey-screen logouts. Unable to upload any textures also - getting a sever busy message.

Log out of the new viewer or RC, and back into older version - 1.18.3 and everything works fine.

do you see the groups if you go to edit > groups ?

Since I first reported this I've tried a number of things in various viewers, but the only one that works for me is 1.18.3. As most of us have download limits in Australia, you can't keep downloading viewers just to see if something has been fixed.

I've also tried opening the Communications window and Searching on groups - which did suddenly list groups for me for a while, but that doesn't seem to work either. Tried a few different ways to get it kickstarted - but alas.

So back to the old viewer and suffer with the bugs inherent in it. I rely heavily on groups to manage my businesses.

Care to list your Mac and OS version in Human readable form? lol.

I'm on Mac, iMac G5 running 10.4.11 ATi Radeon X600 Pro and I have no problem. Groups work fine in all the viewers listed.

Are you still seeing this in 1.20?

This issue was the first time I reported the problems which began with 1.18.4

This issue is related to a later issue I raised and have now linked to this submission - and both are related with the known incompatibilities between the Mac viewer and the 2Wire modem

issues fixed with viewer 1.21 RC
