It is WAY TOO EASY TO LOSE THINGS IN SL!!! When you drop something or put out an item (like furniture) an alias should be created in your inventory to help you to "find" the item again later. It is impossible to figure out where you left something the way it is now and that simply doesnt need to be the case! With all of these inventory troubles you guys have been having I am certain that there are a lot of people out there scratching their heads and trying to fiure out what they have lost. I have several friends who have lost a LOT of items lately due to failure to rezz or an auto return from a land owner that did not appear to "take". The older you get in SL and the bigger your inventory the harder it is to keep track.

I propose that you add a permanent folder to the My Inventory and when something is set out an alias is added to that folder. From that alias it should be possible to get the current location of the item and teleport to it or return it to your inventory. This would also allow you to figure out if someone with editing rights on your items has "taken" something for you or moved it.
