This may be related to VWR-2633, but not necessarily.

It affects the last two official releases at least. Reports came also from users using the Windlight viewer.

The specific group in question here is "Camping Warning!". Notice the exclamation point, which may have something to do with the issue.

Many people have joined this group, only to find out it is not listed in their Groups tab. They cannot leave the group, nor send messages (unless someone sends a message in which case they can reply).

Thanks for your report. Can you please clarify how this is different from the symptoms described in VWR-2633? Otherwise, I'd resolve it as a duplicate (and link to it as one too).

Resolved as duplicate, for all intents and purposes it looks to be the same thing.

Yes, it seems now this is the same thing. At the time of posting I had a feeling that there is no pattern for VWR-2633, that it might have been happening due to some intermittent problems with the database at that time and that some specific groups (hence the title) exhibit the same symptom more often but possibly for a different reason. Maybe I should have analyzed VWR-2633 more carefully before submitting a new one. But it was one of my first attempts in jira... Anyway, I hope at least the specific example helped a bit.

BTW, I might want to be notified via mail when an issue is changed ... WEB-335?
