Disabling "atmospheric shaders" removes the jaggoes and renders the texture the same way the current stable viewer does
Thanks Funk for your continued help bettering WindLight; we intentionally earlier changed the design so that far-off textures with alpha masking turn opaque to boost performance. However, if there are cases in which it clearly breaks content, we'll want to fix it.
I'm not quite clear on what I need to be seeing here in your example picture; can you please clarify what I should be focusing on? Torley I have already mentioned it in the description but I guess it wasn't clear. The pic shown here is 3 snapshots. You are looking at the text "FNKY!". On the far left (furthest zoom) you can no longer make out the word. In the middle it becomes a little clearer but still very jaggy. On the right, the texture is smooth and readable.
Also note, strangely enough, the "footwear" text is done the same way but the prim is tinted grey instead and it doesn't suffer so badly.
I understand now, Funk – thanks. Yes, that looks like intentional behavior (for now), but I can see that it looks not-very-aesthetically pleasing.
