Linden Lab Issue ID: DEV-9654, DEV-12008

 Description  « Hide
I attempted to directly IM someone on my Friends List, only for someone else to reply (this despite the name of the person I'd attemted to IM appearing on the tab name). This other person is not someone I've had contact with or is on my Friends List, however, the person I was trying to IM was in contact with this other person. Apparently, both the person I was attempting to contact and this other person got what I sent.

It might be possible that the IM got misdirected from the person I was attempting to contact to the person they were IMing at the time, but it's still a big privacy bug.

It seems like that this is related to VWR-1043 so I've marked it as such – but I'll leave the determination of whether it's a "duplicate" to the Big Brains.

Yeah, I would ave just commented on that issue, but I wasn't in an area with anyone else, so I can' comment on whether it actually broadcasted to the area too.
