This is a feature request to solve the issue indicated in VWR-2513 (Windows that don't use camera controls for anything prevent camera controls working!).

The feature is relatively simple as a concept:
For all UI short-cuts, it should be possible for the user to enable/disable it, or change the keys that it uses.

For example; I'm using Mac OS X and would like to be able to always use my camera via the alt + camera controls key-combination. I could therefore open the short-cuts dialogue and change the switch-tab shortcuts (alt + left, alt + right) to something else (command + left, command + right). Or disable the offending shortcuts entirely.

The client could then also be shipped with a few sets of common user-defined shortcuts, for example the Mac ones would use command instead of alt for most of them. Then set-ups for users who prefer to always have camera access and so-on.

I'm going to have to make a tour of these kind of issues, secondlife's current clusterhump of a ui is the most annoying feature of the client...I see more re-arranging of buttons and stuff like dazzle than actual useful stuff like this...
