Description

« Hide

For at least the past couple of months, event search has searched ONLY the first word of any event's title, making it pretty close to useless. Fortunately, my game is named "Trivia with Samantha," not "Samantha's Trivia," so I still regularly get new players who searched for "trivia," but others in my field are not so lucky, and I have trouble finding other events. (Especially since adjectives usually precede the nouns they modify in English, so the most likely keyword usually does NOT come first.) Can we get full-text searches back? Please?

Please fix this - I went looking for what few events we could get into the events (see ~~WEB-69~~) and just discovered that the search is not a full text search. Even if it is only just the title we need something more than the first few letters.

Group name search has been fixed in 1.14.1 (2) beta. Event names, I don't know - there doesn't appear to be events listed on the beta grid.

Group search has indeed been fixed in 1.15; event search still uses only the start of the title.

Still only works for first world in in-world searches, now in release 1.20.15.

Yup, repros for me in 1.20 still too. A major issue with the old Events search (note that the new Events search doesn't have this problem, but is unfortunately not sortable).

Dublin in SL uses a . before the event post. Now they do not show up on the website at all, and they are not searchable in-world under anything but a .

Please prioritize this. Thank you.

Still not fixed in 1.21. There's something seriously wrong when searching "Events > All" gives only 4 hits for "Music".
