 Description  « Hide
Traffic numbers on my business keep sticking. It spent three days at 1514, then the last three at 715. My average traffic is about 3k, and has been for about 7 months.
I have looked at other similar businesses, whose traffic I keep an eye on, and have noticed the same anomaly.

The business is Skydive SL! Skydiving on Pamran.

Im not sure where to file this as Im not sure what is cintributing to this error, but for businesses that are service based, traffic is the difference between paying the bills and closing. PLEASE look into this guys and gals!

Thanks for all your hard work so far!

There have been rumors for a long time now, that the traffic system will be removed. Due to camping.

Perhaps this is a silent step towards that. Personally, I welcome it. Harleen's tag based search idea is a MUCH better alternative.

Please check Desdemona -the numbers have been all over the place in this sim, and this affects my business adversely when it comes to the general search results order-I am kept near the bottom!! HELP!

I've got a small pad as well. Have spent the last two days leaving my AV logged in sat at home to see what it would do for the traffic figure.

About Land ... Traffic = 0

Not good! I think it's borked!

If you look at the high camp zones you seem to be scoring 1399 for a single AV logged in for a full day. So I would have expected something like at least 750 for sitting my pixel bum on my land for most of a day.

Same is happening with sim I used to be on (Deck) until Sunday, and my traffic hasn't moved on my new sim (Edscapes Island) since Saturday.

I've got the same problem and have found that a sim restart seems to force a traffic figure update. That's actually a BAD thing as it means people can have a single event and re-freeze their traffic at an un-naturally high state as it won't drop again. I;m trying to launch a new product and have invested time in getting my traffic up prior to launch but I guess I'm screwed as my plot will languish at the bottom of search somewhere.

Same thing in the BlueRay Sea Sim. Traffic updated one time in 3 days. Makes the opening of new businesses extremely hard when the whoel system is mostly dependant on the search viewing traffic.

Since the upgrade to 1.19.1.4, I have had the same problem. No problem before that with traffic numbers changing every 24 hours. Today was the first time in 3 days my numbers changed and I also camped 2 avi's on the land to test if it would make a difference in the numbers changing. It did not. This is happening on Calendula Island.

notes that traffic numbers on parcels don't seem to have any basis in reality...which is upsetting, since it appears that they do have a great deal to do with where someone's business shows up in the new search...

I have a popular gadget shop...that has consistant traffic...yet my numbers are all over the place...and dont match a visitor counter that is on the land....additionally, I have another parcel..that is my private sandbox...that has traffic of exactly six people...that is currently showing a traffic count of 258...

Last but not least...my gadget shop started today with 1313 traffic..and after another thousand visitors...my traffic count is...yes, you guessed it...1313.

So please address the issue with traffic...either repair it...remove it...replace it...but it is nothing but crap right now.

Hello. Is anyone else still experiencing this?

For months now my traffic barely budges, it is having a REALLY bad effect on my business.

For years my traffic was anywhere from 13-17k daily; overnight, this dropped drastically to around 4k and has stayed int hat area since, however the amount of traffic flow to my shop did not change. (So there was no reason for my traffic to have dropped to 4k)

I did some tests and there is indeed a problem.

What I did:

I cut out a little square on my sim where no one went and began the traffic count there at 0. I kepy my avatar in a skybox all day, and the traffic remained at 0. Next, I put my avatar on the ground in the plot, and the traffic went up to about 315 for that small plot.

Goes to show when im in the sky, it does not even calculate, and when on ground, it is not calculating correctly.

These types of issues should be fixed ASAP. Why I was told to file a jira and have people vote is ridiculous and I refuse to follow that rule, I will continue to phone and put in tickets and live chats. I pay every month for my SIM, and it is not operating the way it should, they should either fix it, or lower my tier payment not beat around the bush and then tell me to post a Jira. Every Jira i have seen so far on issues similar to this are..........Unassigned.
