Search is a service on user content, which belongs to the users. There are several initiatives out there to tackle search in SL, and they use a variety of different methods to go at the issue. While we all hope that the new planned search system by LL will work better than the current one, it's important to keep the options open to innovative approaches. With the planned http/html-based search component, it will be trivial to change the Viewer so that users can choose which service to use – just like what happens with the search box in Web browsers (even in MS's IE).
I'd like to propose that, at the same time as the rearchitecting is being done for LL's new search, the Viewer is updated so that the Search button is configurable to point to other search services.

But tell me something !
How on earth is it possible that the textures of MY created products are displayed in SLbrowser ?
I did NOT sign up for any service.
andi did NOT give the UUID numbers to the creators of SL browser !!
If it's that simple to use the textures of someone else WITHOUT PERMISSION then i think something is verry WRONG
with the Security of our stuff !!
