Linden Lab Issue ID: SL-54046

 Description  « Hide
When the blue popup comes up for a sale it dis-allows typing in the chat window

Very annoying when ur typing and have someone purchasing textures or items one after another u have to reset the mouse to the typing area to start typing again =/

Sweet says this issue began with the most recent mandatory update. She has spoken with other residents and has been told they have experienced the same issue.

Sweet also just confirmed that only the blue "sales" windows cause this problem. This does not happen with Blue Group Notices

with money notices activated...

1) open chat bar, begin typing a message...
2) have a friend pay you 1L while you are typing the message.
3) 'focus' will be drawn away from the chatbar to the money notification box. (one may continue typing and not realize that the remainder of their message will not be typed into the chat bar; the cursor must be mouseclicked to reintroduce it to the end of the line.)

note that i have chat set to hide the chat bar after hitting 'return'. i do not know if others also have chat bar set similarly.

temporary solution (but not always preferable): uncheck 'money notices' in the 'general' tab of 'preferences'.

It effects a LOT more than just the money transactions . Menus , being given items , etc all effected by it on my part. I have money notices turned off as a partial temp fix.

Eladon is right, there are certainly more problem dialogs, such as the one to accept inventory. Can we revise this issue to address, as a whole, blue dialogs stealing focus?
With the recent attacks I've seen starting to flood visitors with dialogs, I think this is an urgent fix.

Just noticed the related issue. Reckon I'll vote for both.

Update: this has been happening mostly with vendor sales for me any vendor that sends an Im in the chat frame takes the focus away from my typing also when people are picking from money tree larger purchases it is not happening mainly the money tree payouts and vendor sales that use an IM feature
