1) Noticed that after checking "Can See My Online Status" to off that it did not take affect. Later when trying the same thing after relog seems to work, but inconsistently. 2) Group membership shows your online status. This completely defeats the purpose of having set "Can See My Online Status". 3) Sending an IM reveals online status. Sending a simple IM to an avatar with "Can See My Online Status" set to true indicates "They are offline" ONLY if they are truly offline, otherwise, it reveals they are actually online. The "[10:57] Second Life: User not online - message will be stored and delivered later." message is only sent when the avatar is truly offline. SL NEEDS TRUE INVISIBILITY TO SURVIVE. Any and all chat clients outside of SL have a true 'invisible/stealth' mode. Second Life desperately needs this to keep people from dropping due unable to control their visibility, not only can this create very awkward social situations (but only for those who don't know about it and use it because of it's misleading promise), but it makes focused development and presentations impossible since Busy mode is also largely broken.
