Spoke to Dee Linden on 8/3/07 regarding this issue she asked me to file an issue tracker on it.... I have a store on my sim, region name: Petals... people are purchasing things but when they get them home and set them out... they get "item missing from data base" Items purchased are bought either from vendors or directly off the show room floor. Some are in boxes and others are the object itself. Some items are scripted others are not. There does not seem to be a pattern to the lost items and it seems its a new or different item daily that is "missing from database" I get messages DAILY about people "loosing" objects they purchased at my store. In addition I myself have had this happen when I purchase items from other stores on different regions across the grid for example I recently lost a dance ball called tango purchased at Bits and Bobs on the sim of "The Island". Additionally I have spoke to other persons who can name several other stores they purchase items and got the same message when setting objects out "object missing from database" I will be asking anyone who has had this problem not only with my store but with other regions as well to submit there issue here. I have noticed this problem occurring with V 1.18.0 as well as V1.18.1.2 that I recently downloaded as of 8/2/07!! Dee had me reset my region she tested by purchasing several objects all of which did not show an error occurred when she set them on the ground. But due to the fact that persons are taking these objects to ANOTHER region where the error is occurring makes me wonder if this is not a grid issue/ asset server issue and not specific to regions. Since this has happened with other places I know this cant be my region alone! Here are a few IMS i received as recent as yesterday and today regarding this issue occurring...

[23:28] Cuno Fluno:i purchased a banquet table short, wedding table spray pink, and a wine bottel and when i put them out they all poofed and there no where to be found in my inventory do you know waht might have happened?

[9:42] Rick Wake: hey jade, do me a favor... tell the stupid game to stop eating your cakes... i know theyre tasty... but seems like that and dances are all the game likes to munch
[9:43] Jade Opel: awwww what did it eat now? i have LL here at the island now for that same reason
[9:44] Rick Wake: white lily, purple and a peach one

I get this message every time I log in. I assume it is some scripted attachment I use to wear that causes it. IIRC I get the message since the 1.18 series, too. But it just started then. It's nothing I bought recently.

Hello, i got the same problem yesterday. First i bought myself some items ( several plants at Hearts) .
Back at home i searched for this plants in my inventory and couldn´t find them.I was written off to the money, however, nothing got for it.
I decides to buy the plants new. Some of them reached my inventory others not. I tryed to rez the plants i received at our store at GP Homes and got the message "Failure to create object". I tried it again and got a message saying me that the item couldn´t found in database. I reloged new and all Items i bought and received before are no longer in my Invetory. Although the Items i did not tryed to rez.
Later i got an Instant Message from a custumer of our store. He bought a Pool from me and a house from my partner at GP Homes. But he has no Items in his Inventory. I checked this and found out: There is nothing to find about this purchase in my transaction history about his purchase of the Pool and i never reached the money he spent.. But my partner could find the purchase of the house in his history, so i believed him and sent him a new pool although i never was paid for. So it is not affecting just one region! And i think it is a worth issue if people pay money but never get anything for their money. It should be fixed as soon as possible.

Forgot to say: My Partner started the Sim new after i loosed all the Plants i bought, in the hope that it doesn`t happen again. The purchase of our customer (of the Pool and House) was later, after the restart. So that the restart of the region didn't have any effect.

P.S: Excuse me my bad english, cause it is not my native language

On 8-8-07 I purchased an item from a vendor. Teleported home. Attempted to rez the item to unpack it. got "Unable to create requested object. Object is missing from database." right away.

I wonder if this really is a BUG? Seems to be symptoms of the recent network issues.

Objects stored in prim organizers when retrieved back to inventory are affected by this problem. When attempting to rez the object, the message will be received that it is 'missing from database'. I was attempting to retrieve some of the objects from my wedding when I discovered this but it is more pervasive than a problem that affects only me.
