I am submitting this even though on MS Vista as it suggests this on the recent Linden blog post.

After logging in and rezzing, the client will freeze. It will use 100% of system resources and freeze all open programs - typically email and browser - for over a minute. This happens every few minutes even if I do nothing and always happens if I try to open the map, teleport, building, edit mode of objects, etc.
