I keep and work with a lot of notecards, and while yes, you can copy/paste the contents of a notecard to a notepad file, doing so over and over again just feels wasteful and repetitive. We can save mod textures to our HD's. I would like to see a "Save Notecard As...", as well as an ability to upload notecards into SL.

Not just notecards, but also scripts.

And not just .txt. maybe something a little richer such as xml or rtf.

how about drag-and-drop? See a notecard or a script on your screen? DnD it to the desktop.

Gets my vote for just the ability to save notecards as text files.

Drag and drop ability would/should be a seperate feature request.

I support this idea, simple to do and very useful. Recently I had a massive inventory loss. It was soon fixed*, but for some days I lived in the fear of having lost so many important documents.

As to what format to save, .txt seems ok, given that most notecards just record texts, without any formatting. But a format like HTML would be fine too, when we have images in the notes.

If the notecards get one day more formatting, I strongly suggest it would be HTML, in world and when saving as well.

Also some kind of assets like notecards, images, scripts, could easily be saved automatically in a folder on the local disc.

( * it was an apparent loss, due to a corrupted cache. Clearing the cache fixed it. Simple to do, but hard to guess. )
