 Description  « Hide
Flying in a vehicle that animates your avatar. if you fly over a land parcel that has reached it's object limit you are ejected and your vehicle is returned to lost and found, the avatar is stuck in the animation and you are sucked into a void. You position will drop a negative 12000 meters. The same senario will happen flying over land that has entry retrictions.

It would be better to give a warning or stop a vehicle rather than eject the avatar and crash the client.

I have experienced this phenomenon since many versions back and would very much like to see it fixed. It makes using vehicles more or less impossible in most sims.

I've only seen this happening on region crossings, but I have seen "abandoned" vehicles on the edge of banlines, suggesting something like this might be happening elsewhere. Have others seen this when not changing sims?

Also, sometimes the vehicle doesn't go to lost&found – it just flies on without you until it gets stuck somewhere (or maybe flies off the end of the world and THEN gets returned to you).

A vehicle could give a warning or stop, based on llGetParcelFlags() and other functions, but those don't work across sim boundaries. (Shameless plug for SVC-221)

I've also only seen this on sim crossings. Also seen the vehicle get returned but still be visible to me in-world until I relog.

Vehicles simply shouldn't be counted against object limits in any way, until you stand up. They didn't used to be.

More details in SVC-22

I wouldn't be surprised if parts of this belong to the server...but perhaps unless somebody comes back on each new version of both viewer and server reminding folks that it is still broken...

This issue seems to be a duplicate of SVC-22 which I think is the better place to concentrate votes since that seems to be the bigger issue.
