 Description  « Hide
1) After about 5 minutes of operation, the viewer freezes. Task manager shows the Second Life process as using almost 1 gig of memory (sorry do not have exact numbers).
2) Tried rebooting and then restarting the machine, but it made no difference. I was attending a fairly crowded event in Steamlands (? =- was TPd by friend).
EDIT: I managed to log into Home at Edison Hypatia to get SL viewer details. Noticed I did not get the crash reporter window.
Once the viewer froze I could do nothing with it until I used Task Manager to kill the process.

From what you said, it sounds like the problem is restricted to a particular region that was crowded. Can you reproduce this freeze in other regions or just in that particular region and only when it was crowded? If the problem is specific to just one region, it's not a problem for the JIRA and support should be contacted. Otherwise if the problem is reproducible in other regions, you might check anyway to see if a crash log was generated (even if the crash reporter didn't come up) and attach it here - see: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Crash_Logs

Also, you might want to try a complete uninstall / reinstall if the viewer is suddenly acting clunky.
