Second Life Search and the Second Life Web Site Search and Event Calendar filters out all businesses regardless of whether they are pg, mature or adult simply based on the location of the business, i.e. Adult Rated Regions.

PG and Mature businesses are locating on the Adult Zindra continent, but are blocked from search simply by location. I, myself, have a clothing store, a clock store and a furniture store located in a mall attached to my club in Junos Rest. I have tenants who sell costumes, art and tattoos. My club and mall do not use adult keywords but are blocked from PG and Mature searches simply based on their location.

Filtering based on location is irrelevant; if a person is not age or account verified, they cannot teleport to the region. Filtering based on location is impeding settlement progress of Zindra and is unfairly causing loss of revenue to non-adult businesses located on Zindra.

Please change the code to remove filtering of search and the web site search and Event Calendar by location (region rating). By doing this, you level the playing field for ALL businesses regardless of location and also allow those people not age or account verified to decide for themselves whether they want to become verified.

This is a showstopper problem for those businesses currently on Zindra without adult content.

NOTE: This is not an effort to entice pg and mature businesses to Zindra. This is an effort to stop search filtering based simply on location.

NOTE: CHECK OUT THIS LINK FOR ANOTHER WAY TO HAVE ZINDRA BUSINESSES FOUND IN SEARCH. http://forums.secondlife.com/showthread.php?t=346463

Going to go against my fellow Zindra landowners and disagree with this Jira.

I agree that all plots on Zindra - should - be filtered by location as if adult. PG and mature businesses can relocate to mainland mature or PG sims.

If this whole "predictable experience" concept is going to work, its going to have to begin with businesses, homes, and recreation plots locating themselves properly.

Just as I cannot put an adult business on Mature or PG land, a PG or mature business should not be on Adult land. So I see no problem with treating it as if it were an adult business the moment it goes to adult land.

I also disagree with this Jira.

I understand the need for a mix of business, and feel that is essential for Zindra to survive, however it seems to me that allowing people to search and come to Zindra for pg and mature items goes against everything that has been worked for over the last many months. The whole idea of the adult region is it is adult rated, and that is what the region was set up for, and any other business can be located in a pg or mature region.

The mere fact the no none age verified Second life member can enter the adult region of Zindra.
I feel it should be up to the land/ business owners of the content they provide to the search engine, and if that ad its self is filtered from the search engine based of the use of filtered key words, then so be it., But to block business owners land from being searchable is totally unfair.

It's not a Zindra issue only, due to the fact that in same minute an Island owner set his island to Adult, 1.: the traffic/sales will drop. 2.: his Pg. and Mature business rentals will be hidden from search for those who haven't verifyed.
It's just one of the reasons why Island owners don't flag their island adult before LL really force them to doing it.

This jira is about visibility. Unverifieds still can;t visit but at least they can see Zindra exists and thus be encouraged to get verified.

There are mixed use businesses on Zindra and not all product ranges would fall into adult yet beach rental properties and fashion and furnishings are hidden purely because located on an adult region. As previously discussed it was viewed that child av's weren't necessariy a problem on Zindra as there could be PG locations...only inappropriate if close to 'adult' activity yet this search demarcation brands every sqm as adult thus excluded from mature/pg search so someone needs to make up their mind on zoning...

Estates can flag and unflag as adult and be found...Zindra has no choice.

Adult encompasses ALL rating levels... by definition!

To say that landowners are "just" adult is ridiculous!

To make MY expierience more predictible I choose to keep PG 'unclicked'... I rather buy and do business with people that are adult... NOT children. (note by children I mean self deluding prudes) ((pg seems to be coming up in search without even being clicked though))

Some of us were moved because of SOME adult content! We followed the rules and dutifully packed up and did just that! Adult is just SOME of what I do! to block ALL of what I do is just unfair. Silly as well... Are the PG sellers worried that we are more talented than them and have an unfair advantage?

needless to say... I agree with this Jira...

well, i'm not an owner, but I vote for it, as so may adult are still operating in mature, or sometime PG grid.
And I want to support those who follow the rules. And are now going to give up, because their traffic is gone.

I saw everyday some mature content still in Mainland...
even in search..., checking mature events..

Zindra have to be better supported by LL, even if they don't like it . Because we are talking about a virtual world, and sex is important, may be more in virtual world than in RL.
So, everyone should be on the same base.
regards for all Zindra owners, it's a difficult time, but on internet, sex is far more representative than business, since years, and it will the same for years.
(i didn't talk about gaming, but the gaming rule in Sl have lead to Zyngo, which is quite the same, except that a lot of money have get out of the SL market...)
