There could me several changes to inventory to improve the handling:

Folder Handling:

  • Folder Locking - similar to locking of prims on land, to make them "undeletable", maybe limited to user created root-folders.
  • Lock folder closed - like closing of projects in IDEs like Eclipse... you see the project, but its not accessible until you open it. Only then you can access and/or search through it's contents. This would speed up and improve output of search results
  • Lock folder open - similar to locking a folder closed. This folder would always stay open
  • Icon assignment to folder - provide a set of icons the user can assign to a folder

Items:

  • Preview of textures, clothing (non primmed) in a small popup window (open/closes automatically on hover over item)

Search:

  • Improved search: search for creator
  • Improved search: google like search (+keyword, -keyword, AND (NOT), OR)

Maybe those and related inventory topics can get discussed in a separate meeting or a dedicated office hour and added as separate jira entries with more details.
