Teleoprts are failing on a scale I haven't seen since 2007.

Sim crossings are a nightmare - whether walking or fling, your avatar is being pushed across the next sim at least to the far edge of that sim and requently beyond, and then snapping back to just over the sim edge. It is almost impossible, currently, for me to move around the grid.

Anecdotally, this is, however, affecting everyone - I have discussed it with people in Twitter, in Plurk and in Group Chat and it is happening to a HUGE number of people using different viewers and different machines.

Added to this - I can be standing on the border of a sim where I am speaking to people in IM who are in the sim - and yet my viewer is showing it as offline. And that was true for three of us.

What is going on?
