Please give more information on this, like if the members were busy mode or away how many were online and perhaps them speaking. If I test unser the same conditions and cannot replicate will close bug.
Thank you.

I am getting this same error message: That I am the only participant in the Group Chat. However, I am the group owner, I have set the "Everybody" role to include that all members have ability to chat. And, I was standing within meters of 7 of the group members, all were in 'active' mode, yet none can open a group chat either.

All 4 groups i either created or have full mod rights on, do not open automatically for group members when used. Giving the innitional sender this message: [2008/09/29 12:46] Second Life: You are the only participant in this IM session. Your message is not being retransmitted or stored.
[2008/09/29 12:46] snowy Sidran: testing please let me know if you see this

They can join the chat manually though, and after that all send messages come trough to the people that did that, but still not for them that have not opened chat manually.

This bug occurs in 4 groups. One that has been active for over a year (snowy's world) and was created my me on the normal viewer. One that was created by me 2 weeks ago (snowy's Bohemia) using the RC viewer. One that was created yesterday by Anastasia Weyland (Ana's Angels) using normal viewer. And one that was created by me yesterday (Savious's subbies) using the RC viewer.

Via life support i tried the following things without any result.

  • try innitiate chat in different regions (mainland and private islands)
  • dissolve group and make new one while using 1.20 normal viewer.
  • dissolve group and make one without the " 's " in it (because that was reported earlier is a problem) The new group i created in normal 1.20 viewer called (Lord Savious His subbies) has the exact same problems though.

I will attach a notepad of the chat and steps done by life support for your refference.

Greetz, snowy Sidran

I myself have been recieving the same error "Second Life: You are the only participant in this IM session. Your message is not being retransmitted or stored." I have had this issue from the minute I made both groups back in early September 2008. I have recreated my groups, asked other people to Initate the chat, and tried in different locations. Still I get the same error. I'm currently completely updated with the SL Viewer. Is this a bigger known issue? I need help!

If you see this again, please click the icon in the upper right of the chat window that opens a list of the participants. Is it possible that people were in this chat, but left afterward? If so, additional messages won't make the chat re-open for them, so they aren't counted as "online."
