 Description  « Hide
When I am teleporting, the game logs me out. Then, after I log back in, the my avatar is located where I want it to be teleported earlier. This does not happen only in teleports. This also happens when I walk or fly out of one grid's boundary. After my avatar walks out of the boundary, I cannot control my avatar. It just keep walking in the same direction. After a few moments, a dialog window shows up, and notices me that I have been logged out. But same as teleport, I can reach my destination after I log back in. Although, I am playing on my macbook, I have this problem too, in Windows XP.

--------------------
WHAT I DID:
1. Clicked on Map on the toolbar
2. Selected a location
3. Clicked Teleport
4. The game is loading like normal teleports
5. My avatar arrived BUT I was logged out
6. I log back in
7. My avatar is located at my destination

This screenshot is what I see when the loading of the teleport is finished. I have teleported to an unknown region, with this window. But after I log back in, my avatar is at my teleport designation.

Xack, please see this article in Knowledge Base I'm having navigation issues > I'm having trouble teleporting and the Video Troubleshooting teleporting

Before you log into Second Life please Clear the Cache from Outside Second Life Log into Second Life and let your Inventory fully load.

Please try right-clicking on yourself and selecting Take Off > Detach All to remove your attachments. Then, try relogging. Scripted attachments have the ability to affect your avatar's movement.

Please try unplugging your modems and routers for a full minute, then plug them back in and log back into Second Life.

Please check your network connection How do I check for packet loss (network lag)?

If you still have an issue, and see this Error Message, please add your comment and vote on the main issue, "You have been logged out of Second Life: You have been disconnected from the region you were in" SVC-3259

Please add, on SVC-3259, your

  • full computer environment Help > About Second Life
  • ISP and what kind of DSL/Cable modem you have
  • how you connect to the internet (wired/wireless)
