 Description  « Hide
Since I changed my Vista HP to Windows 7RC 7100, I noticed that at moments when there is few (more then 5 mostly) sculpted objects around me SL "eats" 100% of CPU what causes 1fps in game then freeze and logout or just simple crash turning itself off. When I checked what exactly uses so much cpu it was: SL 45%, System (NT Kernel & System) 50% and few other things that in summary gives 100%. This problem happens only while I'm playing SL, I also play few other games on my laptop (Fifa08, WOW, Trackmania, Call of Duty 4) and non of these causes such CPU usage. The graphic settings are set on medium without AA but even changing to low doesn't help. I checked temperature and it doesn't cross 57C (134F). I have 3GB RAM installed, and 2,57GB usable (512Mb for graphic card) and the usage of it never crosses 1.5GB while playing SL.

Hard to name the server couse it just happens everywhere where is more than 5 people around me or 5 scuted prims. Packet loss doesn't cross 0.2-0.5% and ping is always around 280-340ms

Getting the same thing. It only goes up to 50% CPU usage, but SL's framerate tanks, and "NT Kernel and System" appears to be the culprit in the Task Manager. I've tried updating my graphics driver, and this serves as a fake fix; every time I reboot (like you do when you install a new graphics driver), SL works normally for a few days. Then it goes bad again.

Playing around in Process Manager has had no fruitful results, aside from me guessing that nVidia and SL aren't playing nicely again.
