 Description  « Hide
Per VWR-6110, the ability to copy an attachment while you're wearing it has been removed from viewer 1.23.

This capability is absolutely necessary to recover from problems caused by the unreliable "undo" operation on attachments.

In 1.22 and earlier, I have to go through this process at least once a week:

1. Move the wrong prim.
2. Hit undo.
3. Half the prims in the attachment go haywire.
4. Go to inventory, copy attachment, paste it back in the same folder.
5. Detach and delete original.
6. Attach new copy.
7. Continue working.

As far as I'm concerned, removing this capability is a showstopper for upgrading beyond 1.22.

From the discussion, this was done to "fix" a problem caused by attaching a copy of a HUD object from in-world instead of from inventory.

There are a number of strange failure modes associated with attaching from in-world. It would be better to remove that capability and eliminate all such failures, because you can always take the object before attaching it.
