The easiest workaround is to just delete the cache manually when SL-Client is closed.
This does not reproduce for me. Clicked on Clear Cache button and relogged, startup process had the Clearing Cache dialog. Once logged in all my textures and inventory had to reload into cache. Does this happen if you use the SL viewer instead of RLV?
Second Life 1.23.4 (123908) Jun 11 2009 15:16:56 (Second Life Release) Built with MSVC version 1400 CPU: Intel Pentium 4 (Unknown model) (3200 MHz) libcurl Version: libcurl/7.18.1 OpenSSL/0.9.8j zlib/1.2.3 I'd suggest what Ezian has said - delete your cache manually. Unfortunately Ezian has not explained how to do this.
If you still have access to your preferences window, you can see where your cache is located by checking the Network tab where it says "Disk Cache Location". Mine (on Vista) is at: What further complicates things, since 1.34 I believe, LL have changed where the cache is saved. It is now within my Local folder, and therefore there is no "cache" folder. If it is in Local, as mine has said, delete everything within the folder - there should be lots of files with UUIDs for filenames, and a "textures" folder, etc.. If it's not (possibly in Roaming instead) then delete the folder marked "cache", which contains these said files. Hope this helps... This is a bit confusing so was difficult to explain! Okay, I opened up the cache folder, to find NOTHING in it. Is that normal? Anyways, I deleted it, and when I opened up RLV, parts of the inventory was still gone. What else can I do?
Beverly, please see if you have this issue with the Official Viewer Second Life 1.23.4 (123908) Jun 11 2009 15:16:56 (Second Life Release) which can be downloaded from here http://secondlife.com/support/downloads.php
Please see the link on the JIRA Home page Missing/Lost Inventory? Go here If this is still an issue please Submit a Ticket with Support I appear to be missing inventory that I know should be there. What do I do? Thank you : ) Apparantly I found the wrong cache in my last comment, the right one has been cleared, so everything's fine now. Thanks guys.
