for now, i think we want to leave "alternate sculpt topologies" to the advanced users.
but yes, I don't agree that it should be an advanced-only feature. The alternate topologies are not inherently more complicated or harder to understand. And it's ridiculous that the ONLY way I can make one is to cobble together an annoying little script.
Agree with Mano. Epsecially since heightmaps use PRIM_SCULPT_TYPE_PLANE and yet they're the simplest kind of sculpty to understand
It is very annoying to open my inventory and hunt down that script every time I want to do this. It needs a UI control.
Not sure if I should be marking this as "fix pending", but we now have a GUI control for stitch types in 1.20RC
