 Description  « Hide
I crash constantly, even while getting a high FPS rate (over 30, often). This has occured since I was forced to get new ATI drivers. It happens in low-lag areas, often while camming about, or returning to normal camera view from camming around. Sometimes it happens when I'm sending an IM. Always it happens with no forewarning, no lag time, and with no other avies around. The latest SL viewer does NOT resolve this issue, even though I run my processes at the lowest possible levels to avoid lag.

NTropy, please see these articles in Knowledge Base How can I improve performance ? and How do I check for packet loss (network lag)? Please also see this article for suggestions for Turning off WindLight rendering.

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card. ATI have recently released 6/15/2009 Catalyst 9.6 OpenGL Version: 2.1.8673 and Hotfix for ATI Radeon HD 3000 and ATI Radeon HD 2000 Series AGP

If you're using wireless networking, you should try troubleshooting with a direct wired connection; we allow, but do not support the use of wireless network connections.

This article will show you how to get detailed information about the performance of your computer and the Second Life world Statistics Bar Guide
