 Description  « Hide
JT format is the 3D viewing format supported by most mechanical design programs (NX, Solid Edge, Solid Works, CATIA, IDEAS, and a few others). These are the programs most companies use to create their products.... everything from airplanes, to bread makers, to cars to furniture.

http://www.jtopen.com/technology/format_reference.shtml

Note: Since this is one of serveral requests for 3rd party format support (see VWR 858, 1110,1111) a generic way to easily bring in collections or assemblies of Sculpted Prims may be the best first step.

For an off-world explaination of the value of JT, see: www.JT2Go.com. Here you can download a free JT viewer as well as some example files.
