JT format is the 3D viewing format supported by most mechanical design programs (NX, Solid Edge, Solid Works, CATIA, IDEAS, and a few others). These are the programs most companies use to create their products.... everything from airplanes, to bread makers, to cars to furniture.

Note: Since this is one of serveral requests for 3rd party format support (see VWR 858, 1110,1111) a generic way to easily bring in collections or assemblies of Sculpted Prims may be the best first step.
