my version is a newly updated one, 1.22.11
i apologise as i am an ametuer at computer stuff and is unable to inform you, however, i am confident it is not down to any hardware on my computer, as i have never experience a problem like this before.

I haven't been on second life for a while, and currently joined today to have a look.
when i find shaped colours covering the whole screen, and it seems like it is coming from me,
so i detached all clothes and items, but no result
i checked everywhere on the menu bar, even restarted the computer, but still no luck,
hopefully the image below will help you understand

2. If you still see glitches, try to disable 'Vertex Buffer Objects' (VBO)

An extra step that can help (in some cases) is to turn off VBO. This is done in the Hardware Options of your Graphics preferences, because this is a setting on your graphics card.

Here's how

1. Run Second Life from your desktop. You don't have to log in.
2. Open Edit menu > Preferences...
3. Click on the Graphics tab.
4. Click on the button for Hardware Options. Now, look for the fourth option, Enable VBO: Set this to be UNchecked. This means it is turned off.
