 Description  « Hide
It has understood from the report from the customer in the shop.
The phenomenon reproduced with all objects though the phenomenon generated by the sales commodity.
< phenomenon >
The object that is done Rez is attached, and attaching is chosen and attached from the pie menu.
It detaches it from the pie menu or Inventory as it is.
Then, it disappears completely when the object cannot move outside of the Inventory folder, following Rez be attached, and it logs it in again.

The generated object is limited to the object of not being possible to edit it.
Therefore, it doesn't reproduce it in the creator. Only when the No mod object is received and operated from the person, it reproduces it.

< reproduction method >
An easy reproduction method is written as follows.
1.Rez wears the object.
First of all, the object is put out from Inventory to ground.
The object is not in what I produced, and is mere BOX of No Mod/No Copy/Trans OK received from other AV.
Contents do not include the script etc.

  • It is not generated in the thing produced for myself. Because the phenomenon in the object of Mod OK not generated.

2.It attaches it.
Attaching is chosen and attached from the pie menu.
At this point, the object returns to Inventory, and is in the state of worn.

3.It detaches it.
The installation thing is detached from the pie menu.
The object in Inventory moves to the margin under the Library folder at the moment.
The outside of the Inventory folder. (Error_Inventory.jpg)

Neither the installation nor Rez can be done when entering this state.
The object disappears from Inventory when logging it in again as it is.
It doesn't exist even in Lost&Found and the garbage box either.

In addition, the viewer crashes when dragging it even if this object is returned in the Inventory folder.

Thus, the thing of not being possible to edit it when installing it directly from ground etc. is reproduced without fail.

Gonbe, thank you for reporting this. Please see issues VWR-8438 & VWR-12694 and the comments

I linked this to VWR-6110.

VWR-6110 has a 100% repro how to get an object (not a folder) outside the regular inventory.
When you drag the object to another part of the inventory, there's a viewer crash, just like here.

Please contact support with this issue and explain what has happened and ask for the inventory to be repaired.

I have analyzed this exact fault condition and its partially possible to repair using a modified/3rd party viewer but this can do more halm than good. The only real solution is to ask support to do an inventory repair on your account

Please Submit a Ticket with Support for a response tailored to your individual situation see JIRA Home page

There was an item in my inventory window, but it isn't working or is missing: Tell us if you've lost or are experiencing problems with an object in your inventory.

Please add any further comments and your vote to VWR-8438

Thank you : )

I think that VWR-8438 is ISSUES to which the viewer crashes when it is moved when the object besides Inventory has gone out.

Why does such a situation happen?
I think that it is a problem.
The disappearance of the object and the crash of the viewer happen surely when the operation on which it reported this time is done.

I do not understand the content is done with VWR-8438.
The thing that the viewer crashes is not a problem.
When an operation standard the object is done, the thing that disappears surely is a problem.

This operation is a standard operation of SL.
It is not in the special one.

Everyone can reproduce it.
And, I think the programming glitch in the part that relates about the viewer etc.
Correspondence doesn't seem to be difficult.

The problem for the operation that causes the state of such Inventory.
Because it is not possible to consent, it is not possible to close.

By the way, I am Japanese, and English is not skilled.
After asking the person who understands English the opinion, I want to make the final assessment.

Thank you for the comment.

It was possible to understand a little.

This problem seems to be corresponding to the content discussed by the latest comment of VWR-6110.
Does not SL recommend wear to be done from ground?
This respect cannot be understood.
If wear is not recommended to be done from ground, it is necessary to delete a pertinent function from the pie menu.
Moreover, it is necessary not to control from the script.

However, VWR-6110 seems to have stripes originally in the problem of losing expensive HUD.
Therefore, expecting this problem will be included even if it links with that is unnatural.
I think that I should take it up as one Issues of the discussion in the latter half of VWR-6110.

Please let me think a little more about the close.

This is a duplicate of VWR-12525.
All three parts fit.
1) Attaching an item then detaching,
2) not in a folder
3) crashes the viewer.
