 Description  « Hide
After detaching an item from my avatar, I noticed that it had moved below the folder named "Library" in the Inventory window.

I attempted to relog to see if that resolved the problem, and it did not.

I logged into the current standard edition and the object was not found at all.

After logging back into the RC, I find that the item is still visible where described.

Thankfully, the item was copied when first attached, and the original item is unaffected.

I am including a snapshot of my inventory window.

My concern with this, is that other items I detach from my avatar may move there as well.

I cannot move this item, re-attach this item, or use any of the menu options that appear when I right click this item.

I am including a copy of the right-click menu also.

Did you wear this item from the ground?

This is actually a very old bug come 'round again--it used to happen at or just after sim crossings, with worn scripted attachments (think animation overriders). Instead of detaching and appearing...inserted inside part of the avatar...they would mysteriously detach and appear outside the inventory folders.

More than one person lost their AOs, and other rather pricy attachments, because the attachment was either unusable from that location, could not be copied back into inventory, or simply disappeared entirely after relogging.

This was prevalent throughout early to mid 2008, and late 2007.

I had this recently and had to log a call with support for them to fix which they did.

Please contact support with this issue and explain what has happened and ask for the inventory to be repaired.

I have analyzed this exact fault condition and its partially possible to repair using a modified/3rd party viewer but this can do more halm than good. The only real solution is to ask support to do an inventory repair on your account

Please Submit a Ticket with Support for a response tailored to your individual situation see JIRA Home page

There was an item in my inventory window, but it isn't working or is missing: Tell us if you've lost or are experiencing problems with an object in your inventory.

Thank you : )
