Possibly a duplicate of VWR-7618?

Webby Merlin added a comment - 06/Jun/08 11:23 AM
I saw this message for hours myself yesterday.. i can relate! I attributed it to SLX trying to deliver some products i ordered from outworld.. i never received the products but instead.. this message "Unable to create item that has caused problems on this region" - spamming me with blue pop up windows in the lower right and repeating the message in Chat... see also the ticket regarding lost inventory MISC-571, this message is a new wrinkle in undelivered purchases!

Lyn Kohime added a comment - 07/Jun/08 03:43 PM
I saw this message "Unable to create item that has caused problems on this region " and I get this message in a blue pop up and generals chat every 5 secs since yesterday and i dont know where it come from.

I already :
-Clear cache
-detach all on avatar
-Uninstall the client
-Clear my land

Please help me as soon as possible.

I have tried the main viewer and the latest RC. I have:
  • TP'd to 20 different sims and am still getting this message.
  • Cleared Cache
  • Re-installed both viewers

This is happening on my land in Hyojong as well "Unable to create item that has caused problems on this region " although it is not happening to me, I am told it is happening to others. the same as the above posts a blue card come up from the bottom.

Toxic Menges added a comment - 08/Jun/08 03:04 AM
We had this issue on our sim yesterday, for a while I was getting a set of co-ordinates with it, so was able to track it to a particle rock, which i then reset to a group that the land was set to (but but the permissions did not require items to be set to group).

This fixed my problem. Another resident was then getting the more ambiguous message, and I suggested they look at particle rezzers, and deleting some that had stray particles wandering off our sim boundary fixed the issue.

So to sum this up.. check that any particles you had aren't straying, and failing that check that items match the group that the land is associated with.

I also couldn't rez on my sim for a spell yesteday, but that cleared itself up on it's own.

Iv had this message (Unable to create item that has caused problems on this region) since june 5th off and on, every 30 seconds. So far our effected sims are Light Haven and Dark Haven. I cant link this to anything (my first suspect was something actually creating *objects, like a sim scanner), however this was not the cause, i have no particles (as someone else mentioned) running anywhere on our sims.

DD Otoole added a comment - 10/Jun/08 07:58 AM
This is an error that i continue to get....

I continue to get this error/bug "Unable to create item that has caused problems on this region", everytime i login on a region (either Home or Last location), since my avatvr that i wear is a Dragon, i have to reload it, so all the prims are showing, but that error comes up when i reload it.

-There is way around this error, however it's annoying when you have to tp to another region to reload my avatvr and finally getting it to work. (i don't want to do that everytime i come on SL)

Please fix this error/bug so i don't see this no more and i can reload my avatvr on the region that i am on. Instead of tping to another one and reload sucessfully, then go back to the region i was on before.

Thanks.

I got exact the same problems..
I see most of us got this problem a few days ago..
Maybe the rolling restart had something to do with it?

Piper Shan added a comment - 11/Jun/08 04:59 AM
I was experiencing the same problem. I was getting spamed with the same message "Unable to create item that has caused problems on this region" for at least four days now on my land. It was never ending, and I'd say a new message every two seconds! I thought it might go away on its own, but when it didn't stop I sent in a complaint. They responded with the following... (Thank you for reporting this. This appears to be a bug related to the 1.22 server rollout. The developers are currently invesigating the issue. For more information, or to assist the investigation by leaving your experience with this bug for the developers)

My region is Urqhart. After reading what Toxic Menges had to say I went back to my land and pulled out a couple of particle making trees that generated leaves. But in the end I found it was a particle making rock! one that makes fire flies. As soon as I removed it the messages stopped. I places the rock back out and it seems to be working properly. No Spam!!

This has started affecting me too, in my home on Mars sim.

I'm also getting this message in my home - i haven't rezzed anything since before the the weekend,,,but it still appears constantly - very, very frustrating ;(

bluecat jun added a comment - 13/Jun/08 05:13 AM
That was started slowly and only a few times, but now is getting worse and very annoying
This message appears again and again every 60 segs aprox. in my case. When i saw it for first time i thoug the reason was some atachment, but now i can see this message even without any avatar atachment.

Taibah Takahe added a comment - 15/Jun/08 09:55 AM - edited
This started for me last night (4/14/2008) and continues now. I have went back to the default avatar to see if it was something I was wearing. Nothing. I have cleared my cache as well. I tp'd to a few location to see if it was certain lands that was causing this. I am pasting the results below. The only difference I could see is that any place I had permissions to create objects, I get the message, where I do not have permission the message goes away. this is highly annoying, as it is popping up every 10 to 15 seconds. I logged in with a alt and went to the same locations and it did not happen, this is account specific I think.

Ok, I seemed to have fixed this. These are the steps I took, but will only work if you can have someone with estate privildges do one part

Disabled scripts on the estate (this turned off the messages)
I removed all attachments, changed my eyes, skin, hair to defaults, wore no clothing
Cleared Cache
Relogged
Turned scripts back on the estate
Added each item to my avatar
The message was gone

I no longer get the error on any of the sims that I mentioned above. I think I am fixed.

Ener Hax added a comment - 16/Jun/08 07:00 PM
thank you Taibah on your steps, I will try the same. This issue started last week for me. I thought I had found it as a butterfly rezzer (emitter? I am naive on LSL), but the warning soon returned. It seems to occur regardless of which of my six sims I start at. I don't know anyway to track it down as it seems that looking at top scripts does not narrow it down for me.

Rigion restarts do nothing for it. Interesting note about items rezzing and going off world, I do have several emitters that are close enough to boundaries and will also check those.

It seems it is only for objects you own (I hope) according to similar experiences with other sim owners.

Good luck in resolving this issue. The warnings every 10-15 seconds are driving me nuts!

.... I have tried everything and also spoke to the landlord if she something changed, which she didnt.
.... I go nuts...please make it go away!!!

Senga Tsarchon added a comment - 24/Jun/08 02:13 PM
I cured this issue on my land by deleting a pond with a temp rezzer. I had inadvertently moved the permanent base earlier, and thought it would be enough just to move it back. The problem didn't appear immediately, but showed up after I did other bizarre things, like attaching a prim penguin to my avatar so I could take it for a walk.

On the bright side, not only have the messages stopped, but I found a platypus chest in the wall of a pond above my skybox.

I guess the moral of the story is to look for any scripted object that might have gone berserk, not just particle systems. And keep a close eye on your platypus. They're up to something.

Tyr Radek added a comment - 25/Jun/08 04:35 AM
Thank you Senga.
you have realy helped me not going berserk myself. It was indeed a rezzer that has gone wild. With me it was a fish-rezzer that created sea turtles. It took some time to find the rezzer that was causing trouble but once I removed it, my problem was gone.

A lil tip for people having more than one rezzer on his land and the same problem. Make the rezzers visible and compare the moment it is in action (creating someting) with the line "Unable to create item that has caused problems on this region" showing up in your chat-window. That is how I found the damaged rezzbox without removing every single one of them.

Tarissa Tripsa added a comment - 25/Jun/08 03:00 PM
The problem disappeared for me today. Maybe it has to do with the rolling restart? It was already ok, before I've downloaded/installed the new RC. I hope it's not coming back!

Thomas Shikami added a comment - 25/Jun/08 08:49 PM
workaround:

Have an estate manager or the estate owner disable scripts on the region for at least five minutes.

This can happen from temp rezzers not set to land group. Though one should think about temp rezzers as their prim count still adds to the 15000 limit and can cause these "sim full" messages early, if the sim is near full.

Tanya Spinotti added a comment - 28/Jun/08 07:50 AM - edited
One of my residents started to get this problem after the rolling restart to 1.22.4.
The issue turned out to be some waves which were on the sim edge - They weren't temp rezzed.
The resolution was to move the waves in-land so they they didn't extend out over the sim edge (there is no sim attached on that side)

If this is a geniune error message, and it sounds like it is, this should be a request to update the message with the name and location of the offending object. If the object is attached to a person, it would be helpful to state where the offending object is attached.

In its current form, this error message is akin to a message I saw once (not in SL) which said "Error: There has been an error".

Pumpkin Zenovka added a comment - 28/Jun/08 12:24 PM
My message started after the rolling restart 1.22.4. I realised my Dolphins had disappeareded and it was the Dolphin rezzer causing the problem. Once removed the message stopped! Hoorrah!

It would be useful to have a way to stop a pop up like this. If the item is not being created, you don't need to be reminded every 10 secs! It's enough to drive any avatar over the edge!

Reg Mannonen added a comment - 28/Jun/08 03:09 PM
I"m having the same problem at Dolphin Reef sim now.

Last night we had a weird SL message "Second Life" lol, but everything was fine all night.

I logged out and when i came back in this morning i get hit with this message. Works in both RC and release viewer and is enough to drive you crazy. i'm hunting down all the particles i have but thought i'd post here that once again after a rolling restart this issue pops up.

Could it be something do do with restarting the sim right in the middle of something rezzing?

I am having the same problem. It is just too unnerving. I will leave SL for some days until it is fixed

I still have the problem. I have been off for a week now, but I logged back in and there it was

Elaine Eisenmann added a comment - 03/Jul/08 11:39 PM
How is it possible that this issue still exists after 4 weeks????

Is anybody working on it?

Delazouch Ashby added a comment - 04/Jul/08 07:19 AM
Hi,

I'm having the same problem. I went away and didn't log in for a few days, got back, logged in to find the error message "Unable to create item that has caused problems on this region" being shown every few seconds. I don't think it can be anything I have done because the error message wasn't occuring before I went away and I haven't even logged in since.

The error message is occuring on both the standard SL viewer and On Rez.

I've tried clearing the cache, moving the cache, getting naked, flapping my arms in a frustrated manner etc but nothing seems to work.

The error message affects performance.

I know that other avatars don't have the same problem.

Thank you,

Del.

joshooah lovenkraft added a comment - 04/Jul/08 07:24 AM
It looks like it might be fixed in the rolling restart next week ... ? I'm unfamiliar with the details but did notice this under fixes for the rolling restart announcement in the SL blog:

"Toxic message alert ('Unable to create item that has caused problems on this region) is now a script error and throttled"

Ok guys - we just got rid of it. I can not warrant this works but for us it did:
We disabled scripts, physics and collisisons in our home sim. the messages stopped (probably some amateur scripters work again causing it). Then i switched them back on one by one. Physics.then collisisons. Then scripts. They did not return. Something must have been cleared this way.
Get your sim owner and ask him to try it for you.

Elaine Eisenmann added a comment - 04/Jul/08 04:21 PM
This explicitily DOES NOT WORK.

I tried it. It got rid of the bug for some hours. I logged in again and the bug is there again.

So the solution is only good for some hours. Then the problem starts over again

Delazouch Ashby added a comment - 05/Jul/08 03:57 AM
The sim I am in is owned by Linden Labs. Plus it happens to me in other sims anyway.

Still there. Stopping me from from using SL at the moment, economic downturn, cut back on luxuries, SL is a luxury for me. Not sure that leaving it until next week would be quite the right action to take in this instance. At least I'll get more stuff done in real life though.

Butch Pinion added a comment - 06/Jul/08 04:58 PM
The email I got refering me here suggests that this issue is resolved but I don't see a resolution here. What am I missing? This very anoying. I've detached everything but the error follows me everywhere I go. How can it be something with the sim I am on if no one else on the sim is getting this message?

Delazouch Ashby added a comment - 07/Jul/08 04:43 AM - edited
It's not resolved. Status is "Open" and Priority is "Critical". For me this is a show stopper really though, certainly for my main avatar.

As far as I can tell the problem is not specific to any sim but it is specific to certain avatars. However, I suspect that if someone were to open another issue it would be flagged as "Duplicate" so we have to keep on going with this one.

Unfortunately I'm starting to feel let down by Linden Labs, a simple reply would help, even just to say that they don't know the cause but are still working on it. Looking at the work load it would appear that there are still issues unresolved from a year ago.

I may have to give a deadline on this, if it not fixed by the end of this month (July) then I will be left with two options:

1. Somehow transfer all my land and inventory to a new avatar.
2. Withdraw my $80 per month which I pay to Linden Labs and leave.

So come on Linden Labs, it takes a few seconds to apologise, there are a lot of good things about Second Life but the level of customer service isn't one of them. Fortunately for Linden Labs they have no competitors, if they did I suspect customer retention would be very poor or customer service would be very good. Now is not the time for Linden Labs to get complacent about this though because more and more paying customers are going to leave anyway due to economic downturn and frustrations with the system. Sorting these kinds of issues out may be more important to Linden Labs than they realise.

Edit: Just took another look at the work load for the assigned Linden and if I'm understanding the status properly it would appear that this issue is not currently "In progress" therefore it's not even being worked on! The ones that are showing as being worked on are from March and May this year and I think that one of those issues isn't as critical as this issue. On that basis it seems that this system of fixing issues isn't too good and we are being forgotten about.

Elaine Eisenmann added a comment - 07/Jul/08 08:02 AM
I got rid of the bug:

1. Disabled Skripts on parcel (I suppose entering a no-script zone would help too)
2. Detached Everything
3. Undressed
4. Cleared Cache
5. Logged out
6. Deleted all viewers
7. Installed the Release Candidate Viewer
8. Logged back in

For me the RC Viewer made the difference. Before that I could only get rid of the bug for a short time (some hours) before it returned.

I hope it is not all premature and the bug does not return.

This things make me hope that Linden is bought by someone who is able to run a technology company.

Please fix this !!!
It just appeared for me on my sim "only" but i go nuts, cant build or chat there with this spam occuring over and over...
i deinstalled the viewer, deleted cache, deleted the user profile files (that's helped often with crashes)...
But still same, i dont want to disable scripts and have vendors reset all their stuff again only cause one person has this (for now, maybe more soon?).
So sit down and fix this, this makes a region a place to hate!!!

Chance Rasmuson added a comment - 08/Jul/08 01:19 PM - edited
I went on a two week vacation where I did not have internet access. When I got back, I had this problem on my land. It had never happened before I left on June 11 and was present when I got back on July 1. Given some comments here and the periodic nature, I suspected a temp rezzer problem and that was the case.

I found it was one of three identical fish rezzers that was causing the problem and it could have been a single fish in the rezzer. (The fish in each rezzer were different.) The other two rezzers did not cause a problem so it is most likely a fish that is the cause.

I deactivated the rezzer and the problem stopped. I should, but most likely will not, remove one fish at a time to see if one in particular is causing problems. Deactivating the rezzer fixed the problem for me. Whether there are single cause (e.g., rezzing temp objects with an automated rezzer) for this problem or there are multiple causes I am not sure.

The frustration noted here is real. It drives one crazy to get these messages with some frequency.

Lulu Pink added a comment - 08/Jul/08 07:10 PM
OK, I tried...
disable scripts in region, get fully naked, log off, clean computer from sl... log back, enable scripts:
Issue gone... for about 4 hours then it returned...
Now i am hunting at 800 scripted objects which may cause this...
FIX THIS, PLEASE... at least tell what is unable to create an (or even which) item so the source can be identified!

Delazouch Ashby added a comment - 09/Jul/08 12:35 AM - edited
Seems to me like there is more than one cause here. I have land across two different sims (fun with sim crossings!) and this problem occurs on both, it only occurs with one avatar and not another. It also occurs in other sims too. Other people only seem to have the problem on a specific sim.

I too went away at the end on June and came back early July to find this problem.

I don't think any Lindens are listening.

If there is an error message there must be a log of the object ID that caused the error message. Find the object ID, find the object, fix the problem.

It may not actually be another object trying to create an object anyway.

Delazouch Ashby added a comment - 09/Jul/08 09:53 AM
"Occurse in multiple sims"

I think that should read "A curse in multiple sims".

Sorry...

Bye...

It is hilarious. I could use SL without Problem with the RC Viewer. Now the RC Viewer does not work anymore!

Thank you LIndens! You have shown that you can even kill the fun for the most fanatic user!

I hope a competitor for Lindens comes along soon. I am ready to change the game

Haravikk Mistral added a comment - 12/Jul/08 03:28 AM - edited
I'm not sure if this is specifically the same problem or not, but I've recently found that I can get this if I have an object with a large number of scripts.
I have an item that, unfortunately due to LSL limitations, requires a massive number of scripts, almost 1,000! These are all necessary, but are managed so that only a comparatively small (around 140) are running most of the time in an idle state, the others are only activated as required.

Anyway, my copy of the item rezzed in-world runs fine and as expected, very little impact on the sim, even when running, just a lot of scripts. However, if I take it into my inventory, it becomes unrezzable, resulting in the "Unable to create requested object" error followed by the "Unable to create object that has caused problems on this region" message, at least on v1.22 simulators, on v1.23 no error is given.
It seems that the large number of scripts causes the item to become corrupted. Furthermore, if you wear the item direct from the simulator (rather than taking into inventory first) and then teleport somewhere, it corrupts all other scripted items you are wearing at the time, fortunately it also prevents the simulator saving any of them, so re-logging fixes them all.

It's a very nasty and ill-defined error message, if scripts are the problem then we should be told! I've reduced the number down to about 700 and it works fine again, but it's also a lot slower =(

Just logged in today and guess what, it's gone! The problem has vanished. Let's hope it stays that way though. The only thing I've done is get a new avatar which I'm not using at present.

Huh, just started getting this message on one of my sims today out of the blue. I tried different things, but what did the job for me was deeding the particles rezzers to the group that owns the land (the rezzers were added a few days ago without any problems). Thanks for the tip Toxic Menges! I really hope they can fix this bug soon, it gave me quite a scare today.

Uhm, yes, so they say its solved? After leaving SL for over a month now cos this freaking blue pop up drives me insaen...I decided to come back after I got the message that the issue was solved.. Guess what? Blue pop ups every-5-secs
Please, my dear Lindens, why do you say its solved when it isnt?

Harleen Gretzky added a comment - 14/Jul/08 08:06 AM
This issue has never been marked as resolved and is still open and being worked on.

I certainly hope since all these taks concerning the root problem are being resolved as duplicates, that the root problem is being worked on! Again and again somebody new is unable to rez an object. Surely these poor people aren't all trying to rez sim crashers.

Has anyone spotted any words at all from LL about what causes the message and rez failure?

I speaketh too sooneth.

The problem is back - it's like Groundhog day! Well at least I got a temp fix but it's very annoying to be doing it every couple of SL days. I got coordinates for the object that's supposedly causing the problem but can't locate that object no matter how I try.

sighs

What exactly am I spending $50.00 US per month for?

Now I am struck by this issue .. ((((((((
I tried to:
remove all attachments.
stopped scripts.
enablee scripts.
TPed to other sims.
Cleared cache.

NO AVAIL!

The only thing that seemed to help was to ask the Sim owner to restart it.

  • but that's strange, for I got that error messages on other sims as well....

Lindens, please, if you don't know how to fix it fast, pleas let us know what to do to get rid of it. - for some reason I never sufferd it before and did not change anything. so there must be a way!

Can i join the party???

Today this happened to me too out of the blue... (take that literally!)

I traced it to my Terra Teleporter system which rezzes a temp object. After disabeling the scripts the messages stopped coming. Maybe a tip for someone.

Please fix this ASAP....

Maxx

I had this problem last month and it just went away by itself after awhile...... So I was not excited to see it again last night. I was not attaching anything, just stitting on a stool talking, nobody but us two in the sim. I have waves, fish rezzers, sea turtles, whales, any number of rotation scripts for falls and whirlpools, etc.. all in all looks like Active Scripts is over 5,000. I tried disabling scripts to no avail, even tried restarting the region twice, once with scripts disabled, and noticed that the scripts in objects are not affected by this. Only the scripts on avatars such as scripted wings are affected by "disabling scripts." With scripts disabled and region restarted, all the waves an waterfalls continued to work, fish rez etc.

My STRONG PLEA to the Lindens on this is to PLEASE ADD SOME INFORMATION to the MESSAGE.Obviously there is some problem or we would not be getting a message, so you know WHERE <x,y,z> the object is and you know the UUID and the Object NAME of the troublemaker. So TELL THIS in the message that repeats every 5 seconds so we have a clue! The fact that the messages appear as 3 seconds for some and 10 seconds for others clearly indicates a rezzer of some kind is involved, but what.. and where?

I dont think it's region related, even though the message says "ON THIS REGION" - because it follows me from sim to sim, and others don't get the message in the sim. GOT TO BE ON ME somehow, so TELL ME THE OBJECT NAME and let me take care of it, or DONT BOTHER TELLING ME EVERY 5 SECONDS.

Just a suggestion. 0

I got this for the first time today. Message came up at every sim I visited. I searched through my temp rezzers and found a jetski rezzer on one of my home sims failing to rez and jet skis. The owner/creator/group could not be retreived and the object name and description were blank. I derezzed it and that solved the messages. On re-rezzing the object operated normally.

Chance Rasmuson added a comment - 17/Jul/08 02:55 PM
Seems to be a trend here. I spent hours trying to find the problem and had several others help me. we tried everything including restarts, etc.

MIne was a fish in a temp rezzer that caused the problem. I removed it and the message went away. I have not seen it since.

It does not seem to me that LL considers this a serious issue, but it is for those who have it.. Makes SL unusable to a great extent.

PLEASE, SOMEONE IN LL HEAR US!

Thank You very much Maxx Nordlicht.......... that fix did it for me as well ----- Removing the Tera Teleporters solved it for me.

Phantom Ninetails added a comment - 17/Jul/08 03:55 PM
I just had this issue too. It was due to one of my radars (in Sandbox Cordova), trying to rez it's markers. I deleted the radar and re-rezzed it, the error stopped.

Either way, a very unhelpful message, this should not happen at all unless the object has crashed the sim. Which my radar's markers have not done.

I had this issue some weeks ago with a radar hud in development. Trying to attach/rez the hud the error occured. In the whole grid, not a certain region. Because the hud item was not rezzable anymore, I rebuilt the object from the scripts saved fortunetly in text files in my computer. This worked a day, then the same thing.

I wrote a support ticket, no response, 2 weeks later Frontier Linden closed the ticket asking to reopen it, if the problem still exists.

Indeed the problem didn't happen a 3rd time meanwhile.

Looking for similarities, I notices that Phantom Ninetails device is supposed to rez (temp) objects, and my radar hud rezzed region scanner objects. Both projects are related to sensor.

I wonder what exactly happens there, but it seems that the simulators have sometimes problems with objects rezzing regularly some temp objects ...

Ezian Ecksol added a comment - 18/Jul/08 02:37 AM
One should consider to change the headline of this jira request. "Moodle Sim" does not draw too much attention.

Adequate would be possibly "Error: Unable to create item that has caused problems on this region ".

Elaine Eisenmann added a comment - 18/Jul/08 04:14 AM
Perhaps the title is the reason that we are getting ignored by Linden so shamefully.

Perhaps someone should leak the problem to techcrunch.com. Then the investors of Linden read about it.

Perhaps Linden develops a perception for user problems if it costs them money

Day Oh added a comment - 18/Jul/08 04:44 AM
I agree, Elaine, about the title. If other issues about the problem are being resolved as a duplicate of this one, then this should be the issue for the problem. If an employee suggests opening a new issue it'll be a sad day.

I did happen to get a response from one employee, regarding the message, he said it blacklists sim crashing objects. Again I find it hard to believe all of these people are trying to rez sim crashing objects.

What is see, here and in the forums, is frustration and confusion over this unexpected, undocumented new behavior that is apparently preventing people from even accessing their content. It seems like this behavior was implemented without the knowledge that people generally don't yet have the ability to keep copies of their content offline.

Ezian Ecksol added a comment - 18/Jul/08 05:15 AM - edited
Day Oh, yes, is was a very lucky day I decided a day before to copy the most important scripts to offline documents. Normally I don't do that, and then, cause of the error message I could not even access the object's inventory, many hours of scripting would have been lost.

And it is unacceptable that a premium support ticket about this issue was ignored 2 weeks, and then closed with the only remark to reopen it when the problem is still there.

It seems that some mechanism which job is to detect region crashing scripts is tuned a bit too aggressive, and all security mechanisms like grey goo fence or this "region crashing algorithms" have to be tuned so that normal, harmless second life users are not handicapped in building, scripting etc.

The ON THIS REGION part of the message is BOGUS...

Yesterday i spent 3 hours trying to determine what is causing this message... i have 6 sims and the message occurs when i am in anyone of the six (4 are openspace). I took off everything, changed skins played with newbie hair for a while since even my hair is scripted lol.. and went around restarting each region one by one. I could then see messages about unable to create WHILE one region was in restart mode, so i ruled out that sim as the culprit. Then finally the messages stopped.. for about 12 minutes.. ahhh peace. I then knew which 1 of 6 regions it was. So then i went looking for scripts i didnt recognize in the DEBUG menu on Region.. and did a filter for those with REZ in the name and found all my fish rezzers, and a butterfly script up at 750 mt in the air. SO i returned the butterfly and the messages stopped. Then i went around and reset all the fish rezzers just for good measure, and my messages have ceased. So all this to say, the ON THIS REGION portion of the message is not accurate either. I first started getting the message when i was in a DIFFERENT SIM that the culprit sim turned out to be. Woe be to those with continents of say 20 regions!!

Another piece of evidence on this is that i ordered a new open space sim while i was gettting these messages, watched it rez.. stepped on to it, NO SCRIPTS, NO PRIMS, completely empty sim one minute old.... and still received the messages!

I've been plagued by a very similar situation, even today, but it's related to HUD attachments. I'm only mentioning this here because the last issue posted that described my situation perfectly, was closed as a duplicate of this one.

'll log in with HUD attachments attached, and teleport to another sim. Upon reaching that sim, several HUD attachments will freeze up and stop functioning. Seems to be random, it's effected everything from combat HUDs, to mysti-tool, to a ZHAO Animation Override. I can't unattach them for some reason and if I relog, the affected attachment is unattached. When I try to reattach it, I get that beautiful little blue window with that briliantly composed 'Unable to create object that has caused problems in this region.' But, if I move to another sim, I can reattach the item and wear it back to the sim that wouldn't rez it, and it will work just fine. As long as I don't try to take it off and put it back on...

This continues every time I return to that sim, for several hours, sometimes a day or so and then seems to fix itself, only for it to have occurred in 2 others in the meantime.

Or, my favorite...I'll be at 'work' and suddenly realise my radar hasn't shuffled people around in a while...and bingo...you guessed it, half my HUD attachments are non-responsive. (Yes, in script-enabled sims.) So I go to unattach it...can't, relog...lather, rinse, repeat.

...I'd really like to know what my AO is rezzing that can possibly be causing a problem in any region.

I know I'm not one of you're lucky premium subscribers, hey, College sucks, but I do move a lot of linden through your hands in-world...so how about fixing this huh? Please? Pretty please with splenda on top?

I notice the last comment on this was July 28. I just encountered this one today in Abbotts (mainland). My Mark V teleporters rez a temp-on-rez beam, which it replaces when the beam dies. Today I get this script message repeatedly: "Terra Teleporter - Mark IV BETA 52: Unable to create item 70f8005f-571e-fa1e-bc7d-bc9f4c504d2b that has caused problems on this region".

I tried rezzing a fresh copy from Inventory, but that results in the same message. I also tried it in neighbouring sims, where it works fine. I've had a couple of customers complaining that my teleporter fails to work at all, but I (stupidly) dismissed it as an RTFM issue, since the teleporters have been in use by hundreds (thousands?) for years now.

The only workaround is to delete the teleporters, which unfortunately leaves no teleport infrastructure in a big build. Is there really a fix for this on the way?

Phantom Ninetails added a comment - 05/Dec/08 01:16 PM
This issue is definitely not solved, I just got this again today and am currently suffering it in Sandbox Cordova with my radar, this time deleting and re-rezzing the radar did not fix the problem.

The error is now a script error message instead of spammed in chat so it is less horrible, but still completely disables my radar.

Meelena Dreamscape added a comment - 16/May/09 02:28 PM
I'm getting this message since this morning in the region Jedi Island whenever I try to attach a specific, heavily scripted object.

It actually chatted out in local chat under the name of my avatar when I logged in first with the item attached, and keeps declining my attaching of said object with ever new "Unable to create". Well reproducable.

Started getting this error again today with my sim radar, in Sandbox Goguen.

Sim Radar: Unable to create item 'Full Rover' that has caused problems on this region
