Linden Lab Issue ID: DEV-33372

 Description  « Hide
You can open an IM window to an object, anything you say in the window gets sent as an offline message to your email. Happens in 1.22 and 1.23, also tested 1.18.5.3 it does not happen there.

Reproduction steps:

1) Open Local Chat History, click on the << to see the Active Participants window
2) Create a prim
3) Create a new script inside the prim
4) After the script says "Hello, Avatar", Object will appear in the Active Participants window for 15 seconds
5) While it is active double-click on it, an IM window to the object opens up
6) Type text in the IM window, next time you logoff you will get what you typed in an offline email

Haha! That's funny, lol.

If the Lindens ever create an IM Communication system for objects, this would be a useful feature, but I doubt that'll ever happen. It'd create too much IM Server traffic.

You'll also get whatever you send to your e-mail if you use llInstantMessage with a UUID that doesn't match an avatar.
