Expected Behaviour:
  • CTRL-SHIFT-N changes Environment Settings to Sunset
  • CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-N toggles (open/close) Notification Console

What I found:

On some 1.23 Linux releases,
CTRL-SHIFT-N shortcut opens Notification Console instead of changing Environment Settings to Sunset.

CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-N shortcut also opens Notification Console - if I remember correctly what has been said at Q's Office Hour, this should be the correct shortcut.

By the way none of those shortcuts toggles the console - I mean, you can't use the same shortcut to close the console.

This happens on

  • http-texture branch (both self-compiled and binaries): 1.23.0 (117674) / 1.23.0 (2114)
  • render-pipeline branch: 1.23.0 (117870) (older April releases too)

It doesn't happen on

  • Public Nightly: 1.23.0.117724

Yeah....this bug was found and fixed internally some time ago, on the branch that became public nightly.

Those other branches haven't yet had a chance to merge the latest from 1.23 – 1.23 will merge down to trunk in a week or so, and then those other branches can merge up at their leisure.

Confirmed to work correctly now, on both Linux and Windows recent builds.
