This issue appears as a complete SL Viewer crash immediately after initializing multimedia - at the stage where it is supposed to read "Decoding Images". The viewer hangs for a time, then crashes to the desktop.

The issue is with the ATI Catalyst A.I. setting. Using this in Standard mode is fine, but switching to Advanced mode causes this crash (see attached). Not sure if this is an issue with the driver or with SL. But this one caused a lot of head-scratching till I narrowed down the cause.
