i was looking ok the other day on sl and i just went to sign on and found me all in black where my clothes go on, and i have my graphic card up to date. i tped to other places and its still the same ..

It looks likely that you have an nVidia graphics card with version 177, or later, drivers.

There are known avatar rendering issues for these driver versions:

  • VWR-7957 (Clothing skinning error on nVidia)
  • VWR-9358 (Texture rendering problem nVidia 178.13 release drivers)

The following workaround has been reported:

  • Enable the Advanced Menu (Ctrl-Alt-D)
  • Disable rendering of Palletized Textures (Ctrl-Alt-F7, or Advanced/Rendering/Features/Palletized Textures)
  • Rebake (Ctrl-Alt-R)

This bug is fixed in 1.22 RC1 and later (available from http://www.secondlife.com/downloads, under "Test Viewers")
