when i apply shoe bases my whole lower body turns black.. its very disturbing please help me.. also happens with certain jeans i have turns my feet black

It looks likely that you have an NVIDIA graphics card with version 177, or later, drivers.

There are known avatar rendering issues for these driver versions:

  • VWR-7957 (Clothing skinning error on nVidia)
  • VWR-9358 (Texture rendering problem Nvidia 178.13 release drivers)

The following workaround has been reported:

  • Enable the Advanced Menu (Ctrl-Alt-D)
  • Disable rendering of Palletized Textures (Ctrl-Alt-F7, or Advanced/Rendering/Features/Palletized Textures)
  • Rebake (Ctrl-Alt-R)

This bug is fixed in 1.22 RC1 and later (available from http://www.secondlife.com/downloads, under "Test Viewers")
