 Description  « Hide
I was sailing with some friends some days ago and did cross many simborders.. Off course we did crash a few times, but I had one crash to many.. When I tried to login again I got the message that the system was logging me out and I had to wait 5 minutes... Some minutes ago later I had the same... and again and again...

Some resolutions maybe are:

  • find out with region you crashed and login to that one... (it did help me once, but when I logged out and logged in again I was having the same problem again...)
  • let a linden help you with submitting a ticket (didnt work the first time..)
  • change the port the viewer is using.. (maybe it only looked like this was working, since a helpfull Linden was logging me manually out too (but this didnt work the first time...)

This has happened me a few times, above solutions may work or may not work, I simply dont know... The only thing which was always the same I was using a vehicle when I crashed...

Melvin

This is what is called Ghosting and is a bug that has been looking into multiple times but usually is the result of connection issues and can no be properly reproduced due to the variety of causes. Do not expect this issue to go far if anywhere @ all.

Common 'helps'

IM user
push user into different sim
log in to different sim
restart sim ghost resides in

Ghost AV's and prims are a pain in the ass but IMO I think they will be an issue we will have to live with for a while to come.

its not really a duplicate.... the problem here is after the crash the grid isnt logging me out... I did submit a ticket for that, a kind linden did manually log me out (and even did restart a sim..)
